Life Cycle Junior Team Member Gus Elder has been selected to attend the 2012 USA Cycling Junior Development camp in Moraga, CA. Gus Elder attends South Eugene High School and is involved with the International High School program. He races in the Junior Category for the Life Cycle Team, and started cycling at age twelve. In the last couple of years, Gus’s dedication and passion to the sport of cycling has grown exponentially. In his own words, “It is something that I love to do, and I want to pursue it in my future in any way possible.” Gus has become well known in the Junior Category traveling with fellow teammates to races across the state of Oregon. Not only does Gus enjoy the high paced thrill that come with competition, he us also aware of the great life lessons it has to offer, “cycling has also taught me a lot about discipline and camaraderie.”
Gus has received a scholarship from the Ed Burke Foundation making it possible for him to attend the 2012 USA Cycling Junior Development Camp in Moraga, CA. He attended a very similar camp last year in Forest Grove, OR.
